Trust & Service Rules

Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for ordering and using Crestford Studios services.

Pre-launch legal draft. Crestford's final legal operator name, registered/geographical address, customer-service email and business registration details must be inserted before public sales begin. A Maltese legal review is recommended before launch.

1. What Crestford provides

Crestford Studios provides bespoke visual production services, including custom video creation, photo enhancement, restoration, colourisation, visual reconstruction and moving-memory projects. Some services are delivered automatically; others are individually produced or reviewed.

2. Orders and prices

The price shown before checkout applies to the selected project unless the order is clearly marked as requiring a custom quotation. Prices displayed to consumers should be treated as the total payable price unless the checkout clearly states otherwise.

3. Starting work immediately

Crestford is designed for fast delivery. When placing an order, the customer is asked to expressly request that work begin immediately. Statutory consumer withdrawal rights are not removed by these Terms. Where applicable law allows withdrawal after performance has begun, the customer may remain responsible for the proportion of the service already performed. Where the law permits loss of the withdrawal right after full performance or supply of digital content, that only applies where the legal conditions for that loss have been satisfied.

4. Delivery times

References to 24-hour delivery are standard service targets for eligible short projects, not an absolute guarantee. Complex briefs, poor source material, technical failures, payment issues or requests requiring clarification may take longer. Crestford should notify the customer of material delays.

5. Two complimentary refinements

Standard custom-video projects include up to two reasonable refinements within the original brief where stated at checkout. A new concept, replacement scene, new source material or substantial change to the original brief may be quoted separately. Automated photo services do not include unlimited manual retouching unless specifically purchased.

6. AI-assisted production

Crestford may use advanced AI-assisted visual production tools together with restoration, editing, compositing, creative direction and other production techniques. Outputs can contain imperfections or interpretive details. Crestford does not promise that generated motion, colour, expressions or reconstructed events are historically exact unless expressly agreed.

7. Historical and reconstructed content

Animated photographs and recreated historical scenes may include creative interpretation. They must not be represented as original archive footage where they are not. Crestford may include an appropriate disclosure on or with generated/manipulated content where required by applicable law.

8. Customer material

The customer keeps ownership of material they submit, subject to any third-party rights. The customer grants Crestford a limited permission to copy, process, transform and store the material only as needed to perform the order, provide support and comply with legal obligations. Crestford does not receive portfolio or advertising rights merely because a customer places an order.

9. Prohibited orders

Crestford may reject, stop or refund projects that are unlawful, fraudulent, seriously deceptive, infringe third-party rights, involve non-consensual intimate imagery, exploit children, impersonate people for fraud or misuse, or otherwise create unacceptable legal or safety risk.

10. Founding 50

The Founding 50 benefit is limited to the first fifty successfully registered eligible accounts. The allowance covers the standard photo-restoration services described in the live offer, up to the stated number of photographs. Animation and other paid services are excluded unless expressly stated. The benefit is personal to the account, has no cash value and may be withdrawn in cases of abuse, duplicate accounts or fraudulent use.

11. Payments

Paid work is not required to begin until payment is confirmed. Card and wallet payments may be handled by an external payment processor; Crestford should not store full card details itself. Free Founder orders bypass payment where the allowance applies.

12. Liability and statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Maltese or EU consumer law. Any limitation of liability in the final launch version must be interpreted subject to those mandatory rights.

13. Governing framework

The service is intended to operate from Malta and is subject to applicable Maltese law and directly applicable EU law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available to them under applicable law.
